About Golden Avenue

Golden Avenue is a lush, open-armed take on Middle Eastern flavour. Smoky charcoal, woodfired breads, and garden terrace energy all come together under one roof. From mezze to mastiha, Habibi Funk to high-heat grills, Golden Avenue brings rhythm, smoke and sound to the heart of Brisbane. 

The Role

Golden Avenue is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our opening team. You will take ownership of the pastry section, creating and plating a range of desserts and baked offerings that complement the bold Middle Eastern-inspired menu. This is an opportunity to be part of a venue from the start, helping to establish a standard of excellence and creativity in all things sweet.

• Proven ability to manage a section independently
• Strong mise en place, time management and attention to detail
• Experience working with seasonal and high-quality ingredients
• Commercial cookery certificate preferred
• Good communication and a positive team-focused attitude
• Curiosity for knowledge and growth
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement
• Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
• Interest in Middle Eastern flavours and ingredients is highly regarded
