About Golden Avenue

Golden Avenue is a lush, open-armed take on Middle Eastern flavour. Smoky charcoal, woodfired breads, and garden terrace energy all come together under one roof. From mezze to mastiha, Habibi Funk to high-heat grills, Golden Avenue brings rhythm, smoke and sound to the heart of Brisbane. 

The Role

Golden Avenue is seeking a professional and confident Head Host to lead front-of-house hosting operations across our venues. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for the guest experience, ensuring smooth reservations, managing floor flow with precision, and guiding a team of hosts to deliver the warm, professional service we are known for. This is a key role suited to someone with excellent communication skills, a natural sense of leadership, and a calm presence in fast-paced environments.

• Lead the hosting team to manage guest arrivals, walk-ins, and seating plans with confidence and care
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and hospitality from pre-service to close
• Manage the reservation system (e.g. SevenRooms) to ensure accurate, efficient bookings and floor plans
• Work collaboratively with managers, bar, and kitchen to ensure service flows smoothly
• Train and mentor hosts to deliver exceptional guest interactions
• Monitor and maintain the ambience of the venue, including music, lighting, and cleanliness of entry areas
• Proactively resolve guest concerns with grace and professionalism
• Experience in premium hospitality environments and high-volume service
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with reservations systems such as SevenRooms is required
• RSA Certificate required
