About Golden Avenue

Golden Avenue is a lush, open-armed take on Middle Eastern flavour. Smoky charcoal, woodfired breads, and garden terrace energy all come together under one roof. From mezze to mastiha, Habibi Funk to high-heat grills, Golden Avenue brings rhythm, smoke and sound to the heart of Brisbane. 

The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Sommelier to join the opening team at Golden Avenue. You will work closely with the Venue Sommelier to deliver high-quality wine service, assist in pairing guidance, and contribute to the overall energy and pace of the floor.

• Previous experience in wine service within a quality-focused venue
• Strong administrative skills including ordering, invoicing, and stock management
• Confidence in cellar organisation and maintaining inventory systems
• Ability to support service and guide junior wine staff
• WSET certificate is highly regarded
• RSA Certificate required
• A calm, organised and professional approach to busy service periods
• Availability across evenings, weekends, and public holidays
