About The French Exit 

The French Exit is Brisbane’s ode to Paris, alive with clatter, candlelight, and the European perfume of butter and wine. Steak frites, duck à l’orange, escargot, and soufflé are served with soul, while wine makes for the heartbeat with over five hundred bottles carefully chosen. The tables are close, the energy unfiltered, and every detail whispers 'bistrot'. 

The Role

In preparation for the opening of The French Exit we are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join the opening team. This role will see you producing our dessert offering and upholding our standard of quality, producing high-quality desserts that complement the venue’s menu. You will collaborate with the senior kitchen team to deliver consistent, creative dishes and contribute to the standards of excellence that define Anyday venues.

• Previous experience in a similar role within quality-driven restaurants or bakeries
• Strong technical skills across pastry and dessert preparation
• Ability to maintain consistency, creativity, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and organisational practices
• Positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support across sections when required
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
